Several transferees presented themselves and two were retained:
- An Italian investor associated the company Gas Gas presented a project of renewal of activity, part of stocks and guaranteeing 75% of employment and a maintenance on site under the condition precedent of an agreement of maintenance of the supply engines by the company Yamaha Motors. The latter warned by its council which it did not wish to continue the supply within the framework of the project Gas Gas. The court noting that this condition essential with the realization of the offer not being filled, the offer of Gas Gas was not maintained.
- The Fites company, representing the interests of Mr. Marc Teissier and owner of the Sherco manufacturer deposited an offer with renewal of activity with part of stocks, maintenance of 25% of employment and a removal of the activity on the site of their factory of Nimes. Subject: 2008 250f update.
I had a great weekend on the 2008 SY250F. I won both days, Saturday, I had 2 points and Sunday, I had Zero. This is my first ever Zero Trials that I can remember having. The Scorpa was very impressive. Traction is incredible and gives you tons of confidence on your take offs from dead stop or on your approach to obstacles. The power is real soft and slow off of the bottom, but the top end comes on like crazy and this will get you up all big obstacles no problem. The rear end moves around effortlessly. The front end is a little heavy for front wheel hops, but I’ll take that any day, for the light rear end. Nose wheelies are a blast! The stability of the bike is awesome. It’s not squirrelly or all over the place, it is just straight as an arrow and balances great. The new pumper carb was perfect. I literally took the bike out of the box, put gas in it and rode it with 5 minutes practice time on the bike. . No jetting or anything. The quality of the bike is incredible. I really look forward to riding this bike in the rest of the 2008 TI local events.
Take care, Keep your feet up!
Ryan Young

Former USA Trials Champions, Ryan Young and Curt Comer took the Sherco 450 to second place in the Duo (two-man) class at the sixth annual KTM/Perry Mountain 24-hour Challenge off-road race June 2/3. Record entries this year
(184 Teams, comprised of 596 riders) were confronted with brutal trail conditions - central Alabama is experiencing a severe drought and without a drop of rain in over a month, dust and deteriorating trail made for tough going.
"We battled the heat, dust and trail conditions for the entire race but, as expected, the fuel injected Sherco 450 came through for us with uncompromised performance and reliability" said Comer after the competition.
Ryan commented at the presentation that our team performance "demonstrates how well Trials skills cross over to the off-road world".
Special thanks go to our sponsors for this event: Sherco USA, Ryan Young Products, Summers Racing Components, Tire Balls, Tucker Rocky Distributing, Maxima Oils, Galfer Brakes, Renthal, Dunlop, and Cyclops (helmet lights).
